Pre-treatment Lines
Pre-treatment; The most important phase of a perfect surface.
In pre-cleaning applications which is most important process for good paint quality, PaintSys realized many projects for degreasing, phosphating and etching for all kinds of materials, from steel to plastics.
Surface cleaning or pre-treatment process design depend on the material type, production capacity and part dimensions. PaintSys offers the most optimal solutions, depending on your production requirements.
Surface treatment or pre-treatment is mainly applied in two different ways, namely dipping and spray surface cleaning. The aim is to remove oil from the surface of the material to be painted and perform the phosphate coating process which is the most important function in corrosion resistance.
This coating process, which is made before painting, increases the surface roughness and ensures better adherence of the paint, and prevents corrosion of the metal surface by preventing air contact with the metal in possible paint damages.
Basic pre-treatment processes before powder coating aplication
- Iron phosphate surface coating
- Zinc phosphate surface coating
- Zirconium Phosphate (Nano chemistry) surface coating
Spray pre-treatment lines;
Continuous Spray Surface Cleaning Lines are designed to achieve high efficiency and high capacity. They are providing shorter processing time than manual pre-treatment lines. Cleaning phases include degreasing, rinsing and phosphating.
Dipping pre-treatment lines;
Dipping surface cleaning lines can be applied manually or automatically. In the case of smaller capacities, dipping surface cleaning lines preferred because of the investment cost is lower than the Spray Surface Cleaning lines. The other reason is to prefer dipping surface cleaning lines, large and varied size of the parts. Cleaning steps include degreasing, rinsing and phosphating as in Spray Surface Cleaning Lines. However, processing times are 10 times higher than Spray Surface Cleaning Lines.
